mine, interesting place
This is one of the oldest mines in the area, once owned in 1849 by Mexican nationals, and later swindled away by American general store owner Hugh Stevenson. The mine was also operated by soldiers during the Civil war. It once held the largest lead crystal cave ever seen, but was destroyed during the mining operation.
