  • We ran up to the peak in 25mins - it's good fun!
  • only 400 people per day are allowed to make the climb - be sure and go straight there as soon as you arrive. The view from the top is stunning.
  • We just got back from there May 2008. The climb is steep but about 4 feet wide. A lot of fun. We watched the sunrise at the observatory and about 7:30 am got in line. I was number 95. They let 200 in then stop for awhile to let the other 200 in. Someone said they wait for 100 to come out. It is well worth the hike. 1 hour up
  • In 1985 the walk from the Sun gate to the step-way was solitary, and the only voice was the wind (sigh).
