The St. Clair Tunnel carries Canadian National freight rail traffic under the St. Clair River between Port Huron, MI (US) and Sarnia, Ontario (Canada). The original tunnel, now inactivated and sealed, was opened in 1891. The old portal and right of way are visible just south of the right of way for the new tunnel, opened in 1995 and lated named the Paul M. Tellier Tunnel in honor of a former CN president. The Tellier Tunnel is 6129 feet long.
