museum, oaks, wooden, monastery

The oldest building in Winnipeg. The biggest oak building in North America still standing. This is the old convent of the Grey Nuns (Sisters of Charity). Now it is a museum housing exibitions about Louis Riel and the way of life in early St. Boniface. There is also an exhibition about the history of both Saint-Boniface as a city and the Saint-Boniface Cathedral.
