Built in 1881, this year-old building was the provincial jail receiving criminals from Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Ontario. Men, women and children were housed here in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Stories of executions and crimes will surprise you, as you are led on a tour by a character from the jail. Old cells and rusty bars offer a glimpse into this unusual building’s history.
