Ansupa lake is a old and the largest fresh water lake of Odisha. It is a horse-shoe lake and covers around 141 acres. Ansupa Lake is a scenic lake Situated near Athagarh Sub-Division, Cuttack district, Orissa.(Opposite Banki, Between lake and banki exists Mahanadi river). Ansupa Lake is 70 km from the city of Cuttack which also acts as a shelter for the migratory birds in the wintry weather season. It is a fresh water lake situated amidst the Saranda Hills and enclosed by bamboo tree greenery and mango trees. To visitor's delight, there is boating and fishing facilities in the Ansupa Lake.

This eye-catching tourist attraction is about 35 km from Bhubaneshwar. There are many hotels and guesthouses in the vicinity of the lake. There is local transportation by which you can reach to the lake sides. The Bhubaneshwar and Cuttack cities are well connected by rail, road and air. Bhubaneshwar has an international airport.
