Sint-Truiden's town hall building has medieval origins, but owes its present appearance to more recent centuries. In the belfry tower is a recently restored carillon with 50 bells. The building is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the "Belfries of Belgium and France" ensemble.
