Beulah Station

USA / Wisconsin / Potter Lake /
 town, village

An unincorporated municipality located in the Town of East Troy, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Beulah Station is the named favored by locals for what began in the late 19th Century as "Lake Beulah Subdivision". The name derives from the rail line crossing the public highway, the rail having over the years been operated by such fallen flags as the Soo Line, Milwaukee Road, and Wisconsin Central, and currently the Canadian National. At one time a passenger station provided transfer for visiting tourists from nearby Chicagoland to carriages that would transport them to area lakes such as Beulah, Potters and Army. The community's population is, oh, around 60 or so.

  • I am writing my memoirs about growing up in this small community. Our family moved to Lake Beulah Station when I was seven. That was in 1952. I have very vivid memories of what it was like living in this small community as a child for all of my growing up years. I will always remember the joy of living and playing in this family friendly environment.
