Owned by Mitsui Fudosan Resort, Co. Ltd and fashioned after a European ski village, Kiroro Family Snow World is world-class winter resort established October 10, 2001. With 35.3 kms of slopes, a large base lodge and two impressive hotels, it is situated about 40kms west of Sapporo close to the seaside town of Otaru. The ski village is located less than a kilometer from the base slope and facilitates the 880 guest Hotel Piano.
