Situated in naturally beautiful landscape and on the bank of Bhima river, this village has a very great history from pre independence to post independence. Long back, this village was called as Wadukshetra and eventually Kasabe Wade. In pre indepandance era, many villagers have taken part in India’s freedom movement. After independence, Wade villagers were keen on the development of their village. Milk collection centre was opened in this village long back around 1957 by able guidance of Shantilal Shah and other eminent villagers. Wade was No. 1 in Khed Taluka in quantum of milk collection. A branch of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s High School was started in 1959 by villagers. Children in village and small villages around from all communities obtained High School Education. Some students obtained Garduation, post graduation, Engineering, Legal and medical Education due to this initially affordable educational facility itself in village. This village had electricity in the year 1963 which was obtained after constant follow up of the villagers. Villagers had given their houses and lands for Chas Kaman dam in amicable solutions with Government. After commissioning of Chas Kaman dam, the villagers rehabilitated Wade village. near old Wade location in record time and made it as good as old one. The development of this village is being handed over from generation to generation.
