Town built in 1993 after old Wada was under backwater of chaskaman dam.
About Old WADE "" Va'de, a large market town on the Bhima, twelve miles north-west of Khed, with in 1881 a population of 2758, is held in inam by the Dikshit family, and is connected with Khed by a good local fund road. It had a municipality (grampanchayat)which at the request of the townspeople was abolished in 1872. The only object of interest is a temple of Ram in memory of whose birth a yearly festival takes place on Ram's Ninth or Ramnavmi in Chaitra or March-April. The town has a Saturday market. ""
