590-foot, 54-story Postmodern hotel completed in 1990. Designed by Frank Williams & Associates, it opened as the Rihga Royal Hotel, and was known as The London NYC Hotel until 2019, when it became the Conrad New York Midtown Hotel, and then The Luxury Collection Hotel Manhattan Midtown on June 5, 2024.

It is clad in beige brick with a slight pink hue. The base is two stories at the ends, rising up to three floors towards the middle and peaking at five floors in the center. The 3- and 5-story sections of the base have angled side walls, and there are recessed, angled grooves between each section. The 5-story bay and the two 3-story bays have a large, sloped, metal-and-glass marquee above the ground floor, with main and secondary entrances. The 2-story east end section has bands of windows on both floors, separated by a metal spandrel covered with close-trimmed ivy, almost resembling grass. At the far end is the south entrance to the open-air arcade passageway that connect 54th & 55th Streets. The west end is similar, but with parking garage entrances at the ground floor. The top of each level of the base is covered with copious amounts of overhanging ivy, which also covers the 2nd & 3rd floors at the middle sections.

The symmetrical tower is setback behind the base, with chamfered corners. The center section has two wide, projecting bays with angled ends. In between them and on either side is a narrower bay of double-windows. Farther to each side there are two projecting bays of double-windows (with angled ends) alternating with two more flat bays of double-windows. All the windows have brown metal framing.

The two outer bays on each side set back above the 27th floor. Above, these bays are combined into one wider bay on each side, with a band of windows, setting back again above the 36th floor, and ending at the 41st. The front sidewalls created by the first setback (facing east and west) have a bay of double-windows, rising to where the end bays terminate, and most of the rest of the facade also sets back. The west end wing is capped by a glass-roofed solarium.

The wide middle bays (and the narrower center bay) finally set back above the 44th floor. Above this setback the middle section splits into four smaller projecting bays of double-windows flanking a center bay of small paired windows (which end at the 50th floor). The two remaining end bays on each side terminate into a lower roof at the 52nd floor. The middle bays continue with a number of chamfered corners to a regular 53rd floor and a mechanical penthouse at the top. Above this, slightly set back are two towers with multiple chamfered corners housing additional mechanical equipment.

The east and west facades are windowless up to the 41st-floor setback. Above this, the front bay of double-windows continued, but shifted back, and there is projecting bay of triple-windows at the north with angled ends. In between these is another bay of double-windows from the 46th-51st floors.

The north facade has no windows in the middle. The ends have six bays of double-windows, three of which are projecting with angled ends. The only setbacks are where the two end bays on each side terminate, and at the lower roof line at the 52nd floor.

The hotel contains 562 guest rooms. The ground floor is occupied by Avis car rental (by the parking garage), and the hotel's lobby and restaurant, Maze, and Dabble bar. After being renamed as the Conrad New York Midtown, the interiors were renovated by Stonehill & Taylor.
