Original starting and ending point of Route 66 at the intersection of Jackson Blvd and Michigan Ave. In 1933 Jackson was extended to Lake Shore Drive. When Jackson become a one-way street to the West of Michigan, the Westbound starting point became Adams St. The official starting point remains the intersection of Lake Shore and Jackson.
