A former university for the Department of National Defence, much like RMC in Ontario. Sold off in the late 1990s and has become a respected public university.

The grounds surrounding the University is known as Hatley Park, while the main building is called Hatley Castle. The entire estate has been designated a National Historic Site. The Hatley Park Museum is located in the basement of the Castle.

  • An amazing place, with ivy all up the sides it looks like a castle. The gardens are almost as good as Butchart Gardens, but much quieter and more private.
  • Great place to see wild life! I witnessed a Peacock crossing the road 5 feet in front of me! Amazing!
