RAMANNA TANK (CHERUVU) (2nd largest in Nellore Dist)
This famous Ramanna Tank is located between Ulavapalla, Singa Peta, and Kowru Gunta Villages. This is main water resource for various villages (Ulavapalla, Singa Peta, Thippa,....)for farming. This Tank water Supplied for Bitragunta Locomotive Shed, when Steam Engines were running (British Govt. established large pump houses to pump the water from this tank to Railway Station (around 5 kilometers)). Every year around 30 tonnes of fish is catched by fishermen from this Tank.
