This cemetery was established by English settlers in the San Luis Rey Valley in the late 1800's. There is a small chapel amongst the headstones. Fred Sickler is buried there. While employed as a Deputy US Marshall in the Alaska Territory, he was credited with taking the first known photographs of the aurora borealis (early 1900's).
