park, lake
this lake is desilted during dry season so as to fill it up naturally during monsoons. The accumulated water is where people boat. Used as a revenue generator by the park officials. Also used to dump religious offerings like stale flowers, coconuts (all wrapped in thin polythene bags which take millions of years to degenerate) & Lord Ganesh's idol immersion(paint on the idols is toxic to fish & aquatic life). These insults are reflected by the loss of floating vegetation, namely lotus plants on which birds like Bronze winged jacanas make nests, lay eggs & rear their chicks. So now only people boat encroaching on birds' fishes' habitat. Also buildings are built around this lake's periphery. Welcome to Global Warming.
