The arena seats 17,174 for ice hockey and 17,608 for basketball. It takes five hours to convert it into an 8,400-seat amphitheater.

There are 84 luxury boxes and 1,716 club seats in the arena.It is the home of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks and was the home of the AFL's Anaheim Storm from 2004-2005. The arena was constructed from November 1990 to June 1993 at a cost of $125,000,000 and was designed by HOK Sport Venue Event. Originally named the Anaheim Arena, it was renamed Arrowhead Pond in October 1993 after Arrowhead Water paid $15,000,000 for the naming rights over 10 years. Honda later acquired the naming rights for $60,000,000 over 15 years in October 2006, and the arena was given its current name soon after.

Various World Wrestling Entertainment events have been held in the arena such as Wrestlemania XII in 1996, Wrestlemania XVI in 2000, and the Royal Rumble in 1999. From 1994 to 1999, it was used as a secondary home for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers. It was also the home of the Anaheim Bullfrogs of RHI from 1993 to 1999, the Anaheim Splash of the CISL from 1994 to 1997, and the Anaheim Piranhas of the AFL from 1996 to 1997. Since 1994, the arena has hosted the annual John Wooden Classic. It has also hosted a PBR Bud light Cup (later Built Ford Tough Series) event annually since 1998. It has also hosted the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament as the West Regionals site in 1998, 2001, and 2003. The arena was the venue of the NCAA Men's Frozen Four in 1999.
