  • I have a daughter there. She is already thanking me and has changed so much for the better. She has grown and matured into a person who now loves herself for the first time. Her self esteem has soared. She admits now that this place has saved her life. I wouldn't call it a prison. Yes they are locked in so the minors don't run away. At 18 they can check themselves out. But they really care about the girls there.
  • Here is their web site: http://www.coppercanyonacademy.com/ you can judge for yourself whether it is a prison or a school for troubled young ladies. As noted above Dr Phil did showcase the school: Copper Canyon Academy, an Arizona-based residential boarding school for girls, was featured September 22, 2006 on the nationally syndicated "Dr. Phil" show. Dr. Phil had previously selected Copper Canyon Academy as part of a comprehensive therapeutic solution for a troubled, runaway teen who was featured on the program earlier in the year. Copper Canyon Academy - called "one of the nation's top therapeutic boarding schools for girls," by Dr. Phil - is a licensed therapeutic boarding school that accepts girls ages 13 to 17 who are seeking to make positive changes in their lives and overcome challenges such as depression, anger, family conflict, substance abuse, or academic underachievement.
  • That is such a LIE! My daughter was at CCA for seven months, they saved her life. It IS NOT A PRISON! If checking on the girls at night, is considered a prison, well thats fine with me. CCA is a dedicated loving enviroment. he saftey and well being of the girls is number one. Oh and they might just save her life too
  • I feel that Copper Canyon Academy saved my daughter's life. I have only admiration for Copper Canyon Academy.
  • I will like to thank all of you for your support during these hard times.

  • Please feel free to use me as a reference. I would certainly recommend you for a service well done. Definitely what Ive been looking for.
  • I remember the day I decided to send my daughter to Copper Canyon Academy (CCA). I was scared, tired, and overwhelmed with the enormity of the decision I was about to make. My daughter had crossed a line in life over which some people never return, and I realized she would require a lot of support – way more than I could provide myself – to get her life back on track. I decided to entrust my daughters recovery to Copper Canyon Academy – one of the toughest and best decisions I've made as a parent. In the 10 months my daughter attended Copper Canyon Academy, she developed from a troubled teen that couldn't go a day without using, into a strong young woman who can and will do wonderful things for the world. She learned to respect herself, her mind and her body and cope with difficult situations in positive ways. She gained communication skills to help circumvent conflict, and raised failing grades to nearly all A's and B's. During that time, I attended three Copper Canyon Academy Workshops designed to teach me the skills I would need to support her recovery, return home and long term success in life. I'll be forever thankful to Copper Canyon Academy for their professionalism, commitment, and the remarkable results they produced through their program.
  • I think Bri got a lot of skills and self-awareness through Copper Canyon Academy. I had said from day one, I was hoping she would get close to High School graduation by the time she turned 18. Her new school, felt the sooner she came the better. It was wise that she started with most of the kids, since social groups are so important to High School. She is doing great at Fusion Academy since it is a one on one approach for instruction (30 kids and staff together from 8:30 to 5:00). She is continuing therapy where Copper Canyon Academy recommended twice per week, the new therapist is familiar with Copper Canyon Academy and Arbinger Institute. To date we have not had any fights. She is doing her school work, chores and therapy. I am certain we will have our ups and downs, but Copper Canyon Academy gave both of us many new skills to start this new journey. Bri loves her new school and therapist but misses many of the girls and staff at Copper Canyon Academy. All of the Rappaports THANK YOU.
  • Copper Canyon saved our daughter. Thank you very much for the attention that you've given for her recovery.
  • Everyone here is fantastic. We can't thank you enough.
  • A great program with a great staff. All have been pretty much smooth flowing since the start.
  • Couldn't have been a better experience. Everything has been perfect from the start. Could not ask for more.
  • We were very pleased with the entire experience. We felt our daughter was consistently receiving the highest level of care.
  • Biggest traumatic experience you could possibly give a human being, Their mormon beliefs and absolute abuse for a child will only cost you $7,900.00 a month. WOW what a program! Horrible people.
