Ambang is a complex of volcanoes at the western of the northern arm of Sulawesi island. There is 2 lakes, lake Mo'oat and lake Tondok (Danau Mo'oat and danau Tondok) at the elevation 750 m. The big one is lake Mo'oat and then small one is lake Tondok, both of them side by side. The volcano contains several craters up to 400 m in diameter and five solfatara fields.[1] The only historical account of its eruption occurred somewhere in 1850s.
