It used to be a ferry service linking perak & selangor before the current bridge is built in the late 70s. True enough, the road leading to the bridge at both state is still called Jalan Ferry officially. This place was known then as Mount Repost during the colonial period under the management of Bernam Oil Palm/UP Group. My village is located about 5km down stream the Bernam River. I was told by my elders that there was a tragedy struck here many yrs before I was born, a passenger boat apparently operating without light at night plus heavy rain, was rammed by another bigger boat carrying rock.
