The building of the railway station is one of the landmarks in Trivandrum. • I have seen lot of hotels in this area and rest of trivandrum from a nice web site hungrytvm.com From my experience, I am saying... If u ever visiting Trivandrum, and planning yourself into a good hotel , please go through the site HUNGRYTVM.com'. You can see a variety of vegeterian and non vegeterian restaurants menu. Also You can BOOK online from the site.. Really great. If i had a hotel, i would have registered in the site. its mind blowing
  • Guess what..??? The Tvm Central has become so swanky now, u'll even doubt whether u r on a railway station. LCD flat screen televisions, superb lighting, tiled floors, absolutely neat waiting rooms, shops, restaurants, cool ads on and across bridges..What a transformation man...Tvm really rocks!!!!
  • A few years back, Trivandrum city was the cleanest in India. Now it is as dirty as any other city in India.
  • Tvm railway station was once a single track line, single platform. no broadgauge line. the railways acquired land some backyards some houses from the residents who occupied the lane behind the station. a major expansion work ws carried out, broadgauge lines, extra platforms, more trains everything became passenger savvy. now u can board from this station to most of the places of india.
  • TVM station has been modernised much now.It was in 1976 that the broad gauge conversion happened. Now most important cities and industrial areas of the country are connected from TVM by rail. I have travelled from TVM n number of times to eatsern part of India from 1978 to 1992 and then till 2007 to western India. The railways are planning to make Kochu Veli and Nemom stations bigger to minimise the congestion at TVM central. It can be further developed into a model station in all rspects.
