4-story Greek-revival residential building completed in 1846 as a rowhouse. Around 1900, the basement was raised, and a 2-story black cast-iron storefront installed. The upper floors are clad in red brick, with three bays of windows with metal cornices. A metal fire escape covers part of the facade, which is crowned by a bracketed and modillioned wooden roof cornice. The raised first floor is occupied by L'Impasse Clothing, with Smoke Express & Magic smoke shops in the basement.
