A landmark hotel in downtown Vancouver, the twelve storey,Hotel Georgia was opened on May 7, 1927 and has housed numerous celebrity guests over the years, including Queen Elizabeth II, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, John Wayne, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Sammy Davis Jr., Laurence Olivier, Katherine Hepburn, Frank Sinatra, Ginger Rogers and Errol Flynn.

On July 15th, 2011 (84 years after the original opening of the hotel in 1927), the hotel reopened its doors as the Rosewood Hotel Georgia and is now managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. The newly redesigned hotel features 156 rooms, a spa, and the Hawksworth Restaurant. The building and many portions of the interior are designated as a protected heritage property by the City of Vancouver.
