Ogden Island is located on the United States side of the St Lawrence River. It is approximatly 5 miles in length, and is property of the NYS Port Authority. There are no settlements on the island, but it is a popular camping site for vacationing tourists and locals alike. Upon exploration of the larger forest on the island, several remnants of life before the seaway was built can be seen, such as an old stone foundation from a house, a garden which still blooms flowers in neat rows, and even a stone bridge crossing a now extinct stream bed.
