Brake check area on eastbound Interstate 64 at Exit 133, prior to descending Sandstone Mountain. It is mandatory for all trucks and commercial vehicles over 26,000 GVWR. It was constructed in 2001. Eastbound I-64 has a posted 7% downgrade for 5 miles from Sandstone Mountain to the New River. There are two runaway truck ramps on the descent.
