Bhandup is place which is the largest area as well as largest population in mumbai, from south it starts from gandhinagar to sonapur at north,covering the geographical area in east it starts from khadi area to the forest of goregoan(E) i.e. aaray colony part. N.C.H colony is also in bhandup(w).it is highly populated area.

In Bhandup the Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar area located behind sanjay gandhi National Park close to Vihar lake, Powai lake and green land, nearby to Vikhroli-Jogeshwari link Road.

Some schools are kendriya vidyalaya,Bright,national ,St.Xaviers,Guru Nanak,etc
lbs marg divides bhandup(w) into two parts. eastern part is basically covered by koli people who are actually fishermen of oceans.
shopping at the dreams mall is like a dream and metro is also coming near mangadram petrol pump.

  • This is one of the largest suburb in Mumbai. It is bigger in Area and population also. It has two parts - East and West, but the west part is more densely populated than East. It is much bigger than Mulund and Vikhroli. The others, ie. Nahur and Kanjurmarg, both shares the same Postal Code no of Bhandup. (It's Diff for West and East). The Postal Code for West is 400 078 and for east is 400 042.

  • Bhandup-Kanjur east has mainly a middle class population from Konkan and other parts of Maharashtra. The people have been living here with lots of hardships in the past. The area has witnessed a qualitative change in the lives of the people over a period of last three decades. Highly qualified and meritorious students have proved the intellectual fertility of this population. This is the only prospective developing area of Mumbai. I love Bhandup-Kanjur east.

  • Bhandup is the filthiest place to live after dharavi in mumbai. People here are indecent in all means.No proper drainage system causing chocking of Nallahs event with little monsoon. As the neighbouring areas mulund and vikhroli is above the sea level water logging takes place this this area as it is below sealevel. People dwelling here are facing n number of unfavourable conditions in day to day life.. Due to this most the people prefer mulund or vikhroli rathar than bhandup.even the property rates are higher of former areas than later. A live example can be to visit Bhandup station during peak hours.Due to this condition there are very few Fast trains halt at bahandup station.

  • I m born & brought up in Bhandup (West), Living since 23 years over here. People here are very good & co -operative. Mostly Bhandup has 90% Marathi speaking population. Buses plying here are 605 & 606 from Bhandup Station (West). Don't know much about East, so can't comment. There are good schools here like NES, Oxford, Gurunanak, Sahyadri, YCS, Parag Vidyalaya, Jijamata vidyalaya. In East DAV College, Menon college, Shivai Vidya mandir etc etc "Gadav Naka" Ashok Kedare Chowk in Bhandup west good place for buying Fish & vegetables, Fruits etc (it is a market place) In these years Bhandup has undergone many drastic changes New big residential complexes have come up here, Malls like Dreams Mall, Metro (for Whole sellers) Magnet mall, Easy Day, Mc Donalds oultlet. Restuarants include Bageecha Restuarent, Sanjraj, Kamal Vihar are famous in west. In short "I love Bhandup West"
