Hastings Gardens (Valletta)

The gardens are named after Lord Hastings who was appointed Governor of Malta in 1824. A Neo-Classical monument can be found in the gardens in his honour. He died in 1827 and he was buried in these gardens. The monument situated at the centre of the gardens, takes the form of a couch and Lord Hastings is seen lying in a recumbent position.
