SolidService started servicing SONY Products since 1971 under Solid Industries Inc. In 1982, a separate company was established under the name of Solid Electronics Corporation purposely to concentrate in servicing Sony products. In October 1997, when Sony Phils. Inc was established, the entire after sales service was outsourced to SEC.

SolidService absorbed Aiwa after Sales Service requirement in October of 2001 after Sony Japan took over the whole operations of Aiwa. ASCOP management (distributor of Aiwa) also decided to close their eight (8) provincial service centers and all their service operations were transferred to the nearest Sony ASC.

In July 2002, SolidService took over the operations of the main Aiwa Service Center at J. Bocobo Ermita, Manila. The last Aiwa Service Center in Legaspi was also absorbed and later expanded to include the repair of Sony sets after the ASC agreement with B&L was terminated.
