The Company was established in 1997 as a result of separation of fuel storage bases from Centrala Produktów Naftowych CPN S.A. On 1st January 1997, the structures of CPN S.A. were divided into Dyrekcja Baz Magazynowych Naftobazy, which was registered as commercial law company on 1st July 1997 under the name CPN Dyrekcja Baz Magazynowych Naftobazy Sp. z o.o. Two years later, on 12th April 2007, shares from CPN S.A. were transferred to Nafta Polska S.A. In September 2006, Naftobazy changed its name into Operator Logistyczny Paliw Płynnych Sp. z o.o., seated in Płock.
