Lake Totensee (Lake of the Dead) is a lake in the Swiss Alps in Switzerland, at 2160 metres above sea level.The name stems from the fact that soldiers of Duke Berchtold V of Zähringen were driven into the lake by the people of Valais in the 13th century.
