Flagship East is a culmination of industry, academia, and government economic activities. The merging of these industry partners attracts and facilitates success by developing intellectual property, contributing to developed markets, and creating end-user products. Simultaneously, university and college participants integrate industrial projects into the academic curriculum through hands-on training that is immediately relevant outside the classroom. Because of the project’s intentional partnerships, program planning, and alchemy of education and industry, an educated skilled labor force will emerge and contribute to the economic vitality of Anderson and East Central Indiana.

Flagship East is approximately 84,000 SF split between 50,000 SF of office, classroom, and workshop makerspace. The Wylam Center represents the remaining 34,000 SF which houses real-world businesses that are innovating through ideation, prototyping, and light manufacturing.
