power plant, historical layer / disappeared object, coal-fired
Part of the LVRR Sayre complex and easily recognizable by its enormous 200ft tall twin smokestacks. Powered by LVRR's own anthracite coal, the powerhouse was the primary source of electricity, steam, compressed air and heat for the LVRR Sayre shops as well as the city of Sayre itself. The plant operated into the late 1960s before being shut down and was demolished in April 1977.
