Harishchandreshwar Temple

This place is very important in the history of Maharashtra which holds records from 4000 thousand years old "Skand Puran" as most important pilgrimage place. The temple currently seen is built by Zanz from Shilahaar Family ruled Maharashtra and Sahyadri in 6th Century AD. Shilahaar Royal family ruling recorded 4th Century to 9th Century in Maharashtra and many forts established during their ruling period which later find important for Maratha rule in 17th and 18th century.
