Waterfall on Stony Creek, in Tamborine National Park, Palm Grove section. The overall drop of waterfall is 30-50 m, most of the top section is not a plunge falls, but rather a steep slide. Some time ago, the falls was shown as a tourist point of interest by the National Park, and it was shown on maps and leaflets. A track was maintained to the waterfall, and a viewing platform was erected near its top. But since then, probably because of safety and maintenance issues, the viewing platform was demolished and the track and the falls was removed from all National Park information booklets and maps. The track still exists, winding down the slope towards the top of the waterfall. The track is still in good condition, it is paved with rocks, and even some old faded warning signs still exist. The first 10 metres of of the track, at the point where it branches off the main track (Jenyns Circuit), were deliberately blocked with many tree branches to deter too curious tourists to veer into it. As the track is no longer maintained, it is blocked by a few fallen trees, but it is really easy to bypass all these obstacles. Anyway, it is easier to walk on this old track than to go through the bush.
