An area west of the village of Mallwyd in Gwynedd, separated from it by the River Dovey (Afon Dyfi). The name is shared by several small settlements and farmsteads, like Camlan-uchaf, Bron-Camlan, and Camlan-isaf, all located within the area. The similarity of names and proximity to the 6th-century church in Mallwyd have suggested this as a possible location of the Battle of Camlann, in which Arthur and Medraut fell, according to the Welsh Annals (sub anno 536/538). Another area called Camlan lies 6 km to the northwest.
