Completed in 2021, the Learning and Teaching Hub created a new building out of two old ones, with the intention to join both together into a non-departmental teaching hub, containing lecture theatres, IT suites, and tutorial rooms. The new structure is divided into two wings:

Mary Dunn Wing - the - northern wing - is the former Architecture School, a B-listed structure built in 1966 to a design by Frank Fielden, who was also Professor of Architecture at Strathclyde in the 1960s. The building lay empty for much of the 2010s following the Department of Architecture's move to the James Weir Building and there were fears the structure (a prized example of Brutalist architecture) would be demolished.

Dame Jocelyn Bell-Burnell Wing - the southern wing - is the former Colville Building, built in 1967 which originally housed Civil Engineering and Physics (as well as the defunct Metallurgy department which amalgamated with Mechanical Engineering in the 1990s). This wing contains the new Student's Union which moved out of the historic 90 John Street building in September 2021.

Both wings are joined together by the Professor Jackie Kay Plaza, which acts as an outdoor recreation and exhibition space.
