  • Valiya veedu family is not a branch of Koipuram family. But some valiya veedu family members took membership in the Koipuram family association of Chathannoor with out properly studying their family history. Valiya veedu was existing in Chathannoor much prior to the Koipuram family. But they all are originated from the same for-fathers.-(P J Jacob, author of "Muthalaly Families of Chathannoor" family history book on Muthalaly families of Chathannoor.)
  • Dear Mr PJ Jacob, I am very interested in finding out about Valiya Veedu. I remember my late father PI Idicula Muthalaly telling me that his family originates from Chathanoor Valiya Veedu. My fathers father and grandfather were the Pooyapally achens. His father's brother's son (Rev PJ Jacob) was the last of the 3 Pooyapally achens. My understanding is the Valiya Achen's father or grand father was from Chathanoor Valiya Veedu. Can you please clarify if my father's statement is correct. And I am told that they are also related to Kotara Achen's family (ie Kizhakedeth). That Puthenveedu and Kizhakedeth were brothers of the same father a few generations ago moving out of Chathanoor. I have seen your book at a home in Kozhenchery (at Sarala John Koleth Kochamma's house) during the last Maramon Convention. I love to have a copy of your book.   • dear I M Jacob You have mentioned about kotara achen's family in your comments above. I believe he is mentioned in the Guinness book of records, would you be kind enough to let me know details if any so that a mention of him can be made in an Almanac that is in the process of being compiled by the Mar Thoma Church.
