Former bank building constructed between 1907-1908, known as the Kilbourn State Bank Building. It is a two-story (unspecified) stone, Neoclassical-type building architecture. Only the second half of the building have a second floor. The first half of the building used to house Kilbourn State Bank from June 17, 1908 until February 28, 1944 and Farmers & Merchants State Bank (merged with Kilbourn State Bank on January 5, 1944) from March 1, 1944 (originally located at 232 Broadway) until 1960 (relocated to 716 Superior Street); the second half of the building used to house Electric Theater (brief period of time only, most forgotten theater in Wisconsin Dells [was Kilbourn during that time]) from March 12, 1908 until September 5, 1908 and pharmacy Stuelke Drug Co./M.H. Stuelke Drug Co. from October 8, 1908 until 1917 (relocated to the second half of the building at 202 Broadway and reopened as Stuelke Drugs/Stuelke Walgreen Agency Drugs/Stuelke's Walgreen Agency); the second floor of the building's second half used to house a real estate agency Central Wisconsin Farm Land Co. from around 1908 until 1912.

A trip to the Wisconsin Dells would not be complete until you "Have a Swig with Nig!" Located in the heart of downtown Wisconsin Dells, Nig's Bar has been a popular spot for tourists as well as locals since 1947. Although it originally started at The Normandie Bar at 220 Broadway (currently Monk's Bar & Grill) until it was moved to this building in early-May 1961 under its current name. The bar features billiards, darts, frozen drinks, pizza, snacks, and souvenirs. 🍺🍻🍷🍸🥂🍹🎱🎯🍕🥨🍪

The name of the bar could be slightly racist-sounding but it was actually named after the owner's nickname Archibald "Nig" Kinney!

The co-owner of this bar Jimmy Connors (born [James S. "Jimmy" Connors] February 23, 1962 in Madison) has passed away on March 18, 2025 at age 63. He worked at BTU Management in Mauston as an HVAC contractor, before working with his family at Nig's Bar for over 20 years. He was also the son of the late owner Terry Connors (born [Terrence "Terry" Connors] February 14, 1937 in Madison–died November 10, 2006 at the St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo) who had worked at that bar from around 1970's until around 1990's.
