MVHS's newspaper, The Talon, did a piece on the history and legends of the mill in February of 2005. (www2.murrieta.k12.ca.us/mvhs/talon/issue4_04_05/cover.p... and the continuation www2.murrieta.k12.ca.us/mvhs/talon/issue4_04_05/pg8-9.p...

Ghost stories or not, it's a creepy place to be on a Halloween evening.

no, i'm fairly certain it's haunted, at least at the top. but can you get to the top?
  • hum_dinger10
You can't get to the top because in 1994 some local teens set fire to the wooden infrastructure. I'm not saying it's haunted, but I've seen pictures that friends of mine have taken where it LOOKS like a body standing in the middle window... Just saying. I personally think the burned-down schoolhouse across the street is much creepier to walk around, but the inside of the mill at night with just a flashlight is totally spooky.

I've been going in there for like five years now - mostly looking for cans or dicking round - alone, with friends, at night, and in broad daylight. NOTHING has ever happened. It's a bogus myth no doubt inspired by some city official to bring attention to little ol Murr Town. @ hum_dinger10 I was too young, was there an article on this, or were living around there at the time?

Ive seen that shit personally with my own eyes with a group of 10 people who also saw it thing is far from fake

There is no haunting that I had ever seen in the mill I spent many days as a teenager screwing around in there. Those were the days where you could go to the top up a broken down wooden stair case once at the top we would crawl down a ladder I would say 50 or 60 feet to the bottom of the silos never experienced any haunting activity this was the days before it was gated off. We were actullay the dumb teens who lit the fire in 1994 we got in big trouble for that

Im a medium and I visited this place recently. I felt a lot of anger from the spirits toward a blond blue eyed girl , and the name Rosie was repeated I could also hear 3 horses . So yes this place is real. Please be respectful.

Just went tonight and definitely saw something in the top window at the side that looked like something watching me. I thought it was apart of the window until I started walking away and saw it was no longer there. I went back to the original angle where I first saw it and it was gone. It's definitely haunted.

I don't see any thing of it being haunted

So do I and I can't tell that when a teddy bear gets grown outta random when your in there, you'll believe it's haunted cuz it is
  • Giest (guest)
Let me re type that lol. So me and my friend were in the mill cuz I live my the schoolhouse right across the street and we were inside when we heard the girl crying so we freaked out and a teddy bear got thrown across the room and when we were leaving we heard a voice say "where do you think your going" and so we went again on Halloween at about 1:00 am and heard the crying again and looked in the window and definitely saw her

My younger sister went to the old mill a few months ago with her boyfriend at night, They were just driving by to see it. After staying by it in their car for a little while, her phone rang suddenly an some random person, who couldn't possibly have her number called her and asked if they needed prayer. After that, she hung up and they got out of there.
