Peggy Sue's 50's Diner is an original roadside diner built in 1954 with 9 counter stools and 3 booths. It is 10 miles north of Barstow on the I-15 Fwy at the Ghost Town Rd. exit halfway between Southern California and Las Vegas.

In 1987 it was expanded and restored in its original style. They kept the 50’s style Diner and Soda Fountain and added lots more seating, an Ice Cream Parlor and a Pizza Parlor. Lot's of movie memorabilia throughout. There's also a 5 & Dime Store and out back is a Dinersaur Park with trees and fountains.

Good roadside diner style comfort food.

  • Yeah, the food is nothing to write home about and, I wouldn't exactly call a bunch of cheesy memorabilia "falling through a time warp back to 1956" but, there's lots of parking for really BIG vehicles.
  • Worth a stop if you're early and want breakfast. It's really popular with the phony "hot rod" and "biker" people because of all the Betty Boop/Elvis?James Dean/Marilyn Monroe stuff. I'm usually along later in the day so I'll hang in and score lunch at the Mad Greek.
