  • thumbura theertham is a holy place on thirumala hills it is lovely worth seeing water fall in a pass between big hills, like in himalayas. thumbura pinanced at this place god venkatesa, so named . it is seven km by walk in stony path from papavinasanam and kalyani dam point on tirumala. generally it is opened to publicevery year on palguna poornima ,full moon day generally falls in march. on this day thousands of pilgrims from all over india and even foreigners visit this place of beauty and holy.enroute you can see another five water falls/theerthams also. i request the authorities to make the way more cinvenivient for the public . dont miss to see the beauty of mother nature at this spot. remmber not to contaminate place when yyou visit . dont through any garbage , avoid smoking drinking etc at this place.

  • It is very beautiful place to see nature but there is some risk for walkers. it is very thick forest like wild animals and thick bushes and very large rocks etc.in the route of Thumbura Threetham.

  • THUMBURA THEERTHAM IS SUCH A HOLY PLACE EVERY ONE MUST VISIT ONCE IN LIFE TIME
  • This year 2012...the falls on 6th Friday...pilgrims starts the journey on Thursday evening to till Saturday noon, i.e 7th evening.Night time is best because it is difficult to walk on day time at 43+degrees Celsius, very hot. at night you can enjoy the moon night with cool atmosphere.

  • as all says it is really nice place. i went their. this area is restricted, forest authorities allow pilgrims only on palguna poornima. no felicities, like drinking water,food were available. But on that holly day some charity clubs and pilgrim troops arrange drinking water and some traditional food at free of cost. As other said it is hard to travel in day time, so mostly people start from 4 pm and they reach tertham around 11pm. i seriously suggest not to accompany with senior citizens, children and diabetic, B.P, asthma patients. No medical felicity between tumbura teertham to papavinasanam. No electricity. but the moon light helps you lot, and enhances the forest beauty. No shoes will help you, as you have to pass through sand area, rocks, bushes and ponds. Rocks were so slippery, that on shoes one can't control. as you getting near to theertham temperature goes down further.keep some winter suit to keep you warm after holly bath. keep your luggage less. Adventurers will surly enjoy the trip. KEEP THE HOLLY PLACE CLEAN.
