road bridge, 1993_construction
This bridge carries U.S. Route 11 (North Main Street) over the Norfolk Southern Railway. It is a three span, steel beam bridge with concrete deck built in 1993. It is just west of Interstate 81, Exit 47.
With the construction of this bridge, US-11 was realigned to make a continuous roadway. Previously, one needed to turn just west of the Exit 47 interchange to stay on US-11.
