Though vacant as of 2020, this building was once the home of production for the H.D. Smith Company. H.D. Smith produced carriage and bicycle parts, and later tool kits for automobiles. The building originally made up only a small part of the overall facility, which extended to the south and formed the approximate shape of a "U"; the rest of the complex has since been demolished. The remaining building is distinguished by its unusually fine architectural qualities for an industrial structure.
