Tiraspol (Moldovan Cyrillic: Тираспол, Romanian: Tirișpolea) is the city in Moldova and the capital of the self-proclaimed republic Transdniestria (Pridnestrovie), a breakaway state of Moldova after the collapse of the USSR in 1991, which is not recognized by any country.
