Pushkinsky Cinema and Consert Hall, opened in 1961 as the Rossiya Cinema, was first post-war, modern building in Moscow. Seating 3000 people, it was considered the premier location for Russian films to be presented. The Moscow International film festival is held here every two years. Beneath the theater is a casino and nearby, a twenty-four hour pawnbroker for gamblers who can't stop.
