A large archaeological site discovered during rescue archaeological excavations in 2008-2010, on the eastern edge of old Hasankeyf. The medieval ruins (including some recycled materials from the Roman period), were subject to study and conservation in anticipation of their flooding by the rising waters of the Ilısu Dam Reservoir.
