I had visited the school during my trip to Bombay i.e in Feb 2008. It was both nostalgic and tragic as the school seems to have deteriorated. Had to get my duplicate school leaving certificate and had a bad experience with the current staff. Anywhich ways I had a wonderfull time there as a kid. Its unfortunate that I have no clue where most of my classmates are except for a few.I remember Hanif though, and Hanif dude point to note is that pajama cricket is completely in vouge now.. :)

I had a good time here in the primary classes, during the principalship of Mandlecha Sir. By the time I'd reached Std IX, the quality had fallen significantly. There were some very good teachers like Vijaya Maam, Sampath Ma'am (English), Bhat Ma'am (Hindi), Rajini Fernandes ma'am, Khot Sir (who taught us Craft- he'd exclaim "taak-dhi-na-dhin" to the considerable amusement of the class), Achrekar Sir (drawing). But there were some equally bad ones like Dwivedi who taught Hindi and Geography- man, he was the worst teacher I had ever seen. He'd fail students who did not take tuition from him. Another bad one was Mrs Lalitha, who taught Math- She was eccentric, muttering to herself and I'd remember her shrieking: "Aask yuwer Braayin ("Ask your Brain") in Madrasi English). Frustrated, I left AFAC in Std X. I revisited AFAC a few years ago and I agree with Suyesh- the place has gone from bad to worse. The corridoors were dark, and stank of stale urine. The peons all wore a desultory look, as they lounged on their wooden stools. The place looks so small now. But my memories are still fresh.

I have attended this school from 1983 to 1989. the best school ever. producing quality students. For those who complains about falling quality. My friends , every best thing has to come down eventually, i remember the Faculties and students all were just great here. unlike our catholic neighborhood we have secular and democratic qualities and above all freedom to speak with girls and boys too. Apart from funny part we did best in board exams all the time. I am 35 years now and i own a software development firm, i have visited AFACS in the past and really planning to visit in near future. Great school attended by even greater students.

passed out Hsc from AFAC in 2010, Really loved the entire institute. M. Kakde Sir, Mohini Mam, Meena Mam, Pushpa Mam, Pardesi Sir and Pagare Sir, i miss you all a lot and never be able to forget the lessons that you thought us all students. AFAC really made us strong enough to face or one can say compete in the world in an effective manner. AFAC rocks...
