NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, Art Deco (architecture), apartment building
Designed by architect Joseph Younger and originally constructed in 1931, the Kennedy-Warren stands as one of the most stunning examples of Aztec Art-Deco Architecture in the District of Columbia. Due to the onset of the great depression, only the north half of the building was originally completed; however, in late 2004, a new south wing was built on the footprint of the remaining, uncompleted building. It used the original plans where possible and won a number of design awards.
