Located on a scenic plot of land amidst ex-tin mining lakes and under the watch of Mount Bujang Melaka, UTAR Perak Campus has transformed the once sleepy Kampar town into a vibrant and bustling university town. Tens of thousands of students and staff make their way here almost everyday. This is no surprise as the university is huge till construction was carried out over two phases. Today, it is a green and environmental friendly campus. It is very conducive for the growth of students here, whether to grow in terms of knowledge, or in their respective personal lives. The university welcomed its first batch of students in 2007.

All blocks of the campus are properly named and labelled with signages here and there. Every block is also connected by walkways. Considering the amount of students who cycle to class everyday, this campus is also lined with bicycle tracks and there are also bicycle parking lots. It is then well connected by other roads, and close to Tesco, and thousands of accommodation choices. The campus has two entry and exit points. It even has its own sports complex.
